Having raised close to £800k, Sustainable Accelerator are now seeking up to 8 circular economy focused start-ups to invest the money in. They’re searching for companies with:
- High growth potential with disruptive technologies with:
- Disruptive technologies or/and
- an innovative business model
- A team of at least two
- Ideally a validated minimum viable product.
The investment will typically be at £100k-£150k with each stake negotiated on a case-by-case basis depending on the development stage and level of traction. An investment can be stand alone or a co-investment.
Each start-up will participate in a one year programme where they will gain access to deep sectoral, practical expertise and hands-on guidance from the Sustainable Ventures’ management team – see explanatory video here. Start-ups will also have access to Sustainable Ventures’ broad range of services from grant writing, book keeping and tax rebates and to their broad network of investors, advisors and mentors in the sustainability space.
They will also receive desk space at our new workspace, planned to open in the Autumn also in London Bridge, where they can share and collaborate with our wider sustainability community. Each company will receive critical early stage hands-on guidance to achieve key commercial and technical milestones, which will help them to achieve their next key funding milestone. Feedback panel sessions, one-to-one coaching, showcase events and ‘Fireside Chats’ evening sessions will feature heavily in the programme.

All company proposals will pass through an initial evaluation. Those who are successful will be invited to present to a Panel from the SV management team and members of our Mentor Panel. Our first evaluation demo day is scheduled for Thursday 27th July 2017. To be considered, company applications need to be submitted by 17:00 on 14th July.
